Barb FickerBarb Ficker began serving people with developmental disabilities in the early 80’s.  Her heart was captured at a summer camp for children and adults with cerebral palsy and continued to expand with each aspect of service delivery.  Barb has served in a variety of direct care positions, as a Coordinator with a statewide parent organization offering individual, systemic and statewide advocacy, as a Director of Home Care Service as well as working on behalf of national peace and justice issues.  Barb also brings to Gompers a collective experience with both non-profit and for profit agencies.  Many of Barb’s values have been shaped and enhanced as a result of relationships with people with developmental disabilities and their families.   In addition, Barb enjoys reading, wandering the desert trails and spending time with family and friends.
